Austin Channing Brown is an author and speaker with a passion for racial justice and reconciliation. She earned her master’s degree in social justice from Marygrove College in Detroit, and – armed with a passion for social change – has spent her life creating interactive opportunities for people of all ages to engage topics such as injustice, race, poverty and gender. Austin travels the country throughout the year, sharing her voice at colleges, universities, conferences, and churches, and writes about justice, reconciliation, and womanhood on her popular blog, as well as her column in Today’s Christian Woman. She has also contributed to Relevant Magazine, Sojourners Magazine, and other places around the web. Austin most recently served as resident director and multicultural liaison for Calvin College where she had the pleasure of working with millennials as they navigated college life. This summer she is excited to release her book I’m Still Here. She is married to her best friend, Tommie, an attorney in Grand Rapids, and adores her infant son and little puppy.
